B2B SaaS Blog Content: Collect UGC with Email: 5 Strategies You Can Use + Examples

Writing sample of a blog I wrote for a B2B video technology company called StoryTap. The blog is titled 'Collect UGC with Email: 5 Strategies You Can Use + Examples'.

The blog was written to educate marketers with strategies they can use to collect user-generated content for the brands they work for. The intention was to get readers to contact StoryTap to learn how the video platform helps produce and distribute UGC videos on brand websites.

I originally wrote this blog in 2022 targeting the long tail keyphrase 'how to collect UGC with email'. Over a year and a half it has become one of the top visited blog pages on the company website and ranked on the first page of SERP.

While crafting this blog, I used SEO best practices in the content, including using the keyphrase in high value placements such as the H1, title tag, meta description, slug and first paragraph.

In 2024, my content strategy was to update high-performing pieces to freshen up the content, add in relevant statistics and internal links, update images and videos and drive more traffic to the site. I republished the blog in January 2024 with all of the above changes and it continues to rank on the first page of search results.

I then published the high-performing blog on LinkedIn under the company account. I made small changes to the content, including changing the title and content in the first and last paragraphs, then linked back to the original blog on the website. This version of the blog on LinkedIn currently holds the featured snippet spot on SERP.
